Well the good news is we didn’t have to break into the Target savings account yesterday — instead we got to come home! Which is good because the underwear count was getting desperately low. Our car was released from the service center prison, although it did not get fixed. (Side note: doesn’t this always happen right as you pay it off?! How do they know??) We had two options: to stay for another week to get a part in to fix it or drive very slowly home. We drove very slowly home. You know you really love your home when miss it after just 5 days and come directly in, change into pajamas and eat left-overs. That’s happiness right there.

This little blue tunic…it’s a tough one. But of course I bought it anyways. Tunics in general are tough to style, I think. But I’m ready to take on the challenge. First outfit out the bat of course is with white jeans. I mean, it’s just begging to be paired with white jeans, right? I’m going to see what else I can do with this. So far I’ve thought of white jeans and white shorts. Suggestions are obviously welcome.

  1. Hurrah on making it home! Love that fabulous tunic!!!

Hmm, tunic and stripey mini-skirt? Tunic and distressed paint-spattered cut-offs?

  2. I saw this top on the J. Crew website but hesitated to buy it because I wasn't sure about the sizing. Did you have to go one down your normal size, or does it fit fine? I'm afraid I'll look like a big box!

  3. I love tunics and actually find them easy to style. I have a very flat behind so tunics are awesome. I can picture this tunic really dressed up or down. Right now I see it way cute with some sneakers or even white boat shoes for a nautical beach look. Also pair it with fedora hat…..they are so on trend, or a baseball cap.

  4. I LOVE cobalt blue & white paired together and the pop of neon yellow makes it just more fun!! Love the look on you Kendi!

  5. Car problems are the WORST. Mine was stolen a few weeks ago, so I know the feeling of being "out of commission." I hope they're able to fix her up real nice! This outfit is amazing and I think the tunic look is great on ya.

  6. Glad you got home and hope you get your car fixed soon. I adore this outfit, the tunic is lovely and I love the pop of colour with the yellow. I suggest pairing it will yellow bottoms and simple white ankle strap sandals next, I guess its still the same colour palette in different pieces.

  7. I think you made a great choice with the white jeans! When I saw the first picture of you in this I immediately thought "Wow, that is the cutest!" 🙂

  8. i mean you could always just rewear this outfit again and again…i am definitely a repeat offender, nothing wrong with that though when it's good right? 🙂 Love the way you've styled this tunic so i'd say go for the repeat offense! Great shoes too 🙂

  9. How about pairing the tunic with white palazzo pants or wide-leg lounge pants. It'd be a throwback to mid-60's Liz Taylor glam.

  10. Absolutely loving this look! The shoes are a great pop of color and the clutch is perfectly paired with the top. I'm definitely not one to give suggestions since I come here FOR suggestions 🙂 I'm confident you will find other equally fabulous ways to wear this. And care problems? Yeah, I feel ya there! Glad you're back home!

  11. Try tucking it in under a skirt of any type (except maybe a mini because it would probably show out the bottom of the skirt and that is not a good look). It would be so cute either tucked into a denim pencil skirt or a midi skirt (my favorite)! Or you could do a similar look by knotting it or tying it up. Also for lazy days it would be cute belted with leggings if you are a leggings kind of gal. Hope you like some of my suggestions!

  12. I gotta say it. Black skinnies and black heels. Cobalt/black/white is an awesome combo.

  13. How about black leather leggings & a black tissue turtleneck in the winter? and a punchy fuchsia bag.
