Each Valentine’s Day, B and I have good intentions. We both say that we are going to get each other gifts, that we will go out to a fancy dinner and that we will get dressed up. This is how it goes down every year. Usually only one of us remembers the gift (this is B), we both forget to make reservations, we both end up in the picked over card aisle at the grocery store minutes before dinner and you know what? Sometimes getting fancy is overrated when you’ve worked all day.

So this year we just decided  to be real about it and to go casual; a jean friendly kind of Valentine’s if you will. (Boyfriend jeans to be exact.) So we are just going to cook dinner at the house, drink wine and I’m probably going to talk him into letting me watch as many cheesy love movies as possible. All without having to get dolled up. Now doesn’t that just sound like the best Valentine’s ever?

    1. It’s the “Midnight Bouquet Bib” from baublebar.com:) I have it too – it’s amazingly versatile!

  1. Can you please please please do a hair post! I just chopped mine and have major hair envy of how cute yours always looks!

  2. Love the top and necklace!! My husband and I are also guilty of having good intentions for VDay but not following through. We’ve given up on fighting the crowds at restaurants and enjoy an excuse to cook a nice meal at home :).

  3. Sounds like it will be wonderful! I have plans with my boo to go out to dinner and do the whole getting dressed up thing and then wine and movies afterwards. Trying to find a happy medium 🙂 Have a great v-day girl!

  4. Those totally looked that mom jeans on me. I wish I could pull then off like you! And yup. You’re hair has been pinned for inspiration.

  5. The backdrop for your outfit today is so perfect:) (blue sign & brick = I love) My favorite outfits of yours are your more casual (like today) – I’m a stay-at-home mom who still likes to dress nice. And, your mint and wine yesterday was one of my favorite combinations you’ve put together, ever! We are flying out for a long weekend this weekend, and I’m still hoping you put together a “travel essentials” post someday. It’s becoming more and more necessary to pack smart/wardrobe efficient when flying so you don’t have to pay extra… 🙂 Have a good day!

  6. Oh it sounds like a perfect date night! Is nice to go out and doll up but in the end what matters is to be with your beloved one! So have fun you two. Love the blazer, and hooray to boyfriend jeans, they rock!

  7. Casual valentine’s is the best kind. We’re going to binge watch House of Cards and eat soup. Probably in non-sexy pjs.

  8. We’re keeping it casual at home this year too and I’m pretty pumped about it. Hope y’all have a great night and you get to watch your girly movies 🙂

  9. Um yes, that does sound like the best plan ever!! Now I'm rethinking our dinner out… boyfriend jeans & home time are sounding SO good right now. And you're looking fab as always. Love this gorgeous combination!! xoxo
