Since Thanksgiving to Christmas is crazy for retail, B and I have started taking the week after off. It is heavenly.
This year we took 4 days and headed south to Fredericksburg, the town I've deemed as the Napa Valley of Texas. We drank wine, took naps, watched stupid shows on cable, and talked about nothing at all. It was amazing. Totally worth working our butts off through December.
I did not however realize how cold it was going to be in south Texas. Seems odd to need to pack warm things when heading south, right? And I was too excited to go on vacation to even look at the weather. So I pretty much just wore the same warm outfit over and over the whole time. Note to self: always check the weather before you pack. Also, capes are not for the bare of arms or silk covered arms, but I pulled through in the name of fashion. Frost bite is the new black.
