I’m officially the worst guest blogger for myself. I was supposed to work on this post last night to go live this morning but instead I was getting wild in Vegas. You see instead of scheduling posts, I went to a buffet and fell into a food coma an hour later. Can you blame me? It’s Las Vegas. Buffets are why people come here.

Aren’t these photos ridiculous? Doesn’t it look so nice and sunny in Texas? That’s because it is! It’s always sunny in Texas. You should move here and wear floral maxi skirts with me in the winter. And we could eat at buffets together. And we could be best friends. Think about it, ok?

  1. I LOVE reading your blog – your comments always put a smile on my face.  The fact that you provide great outfit inspiration is a bonus!

  2. I'm in desperate need of not just sunny, but also some warm weather! I've had enough of winter by now, and I'll take anything that doesn't involve 3 layers and a heavy coat…and I have to say that seeing this lovely outfit on you doesn't make things any easier for me. 😛 I think that pairing the knit sweater and ankle boots with a pretty (floral) maxi skirt like this one will be a great way to transition into spring once (and if!) the weather decides to cooperate, so I'm definitely saving this as inspiration.

Hope you're having a great (and much warmer) week!

  3. Im already here in tx! Dont know if i love the weather though… Love that skirt!

  5. I've thought about it and I'm in with both maxi skirts and buffets.  I hope the skirt has a little give in it 😉

  6. I was seriously late to the party on "Friday Night Lights" and thanks for Netflix, I was able to watch all five seasons last year from the comfort of my own home. I confess I fell hard and fast. It was a serious thing.  I've since recovered but am convinced I will always have a bit of a secret soft spot for "Friday Night Lights" and the fictional town of Dillon, Texas.  Since then, I've always wondered, was Tim Riggins right? Texas Forever and all that? I hope to find out one day! My heart is set on an trip to Austin.

Clear eyes.  Full hearts.  Can't lose.  I just had to!

  7. Those are two of the many things I love about Texas! Ha ha no wonder I went back to mexico with some extra pounds, after only one semester there, but still I'd love to have lunch with you at a buffet and of course I'd love to be your bestie, love the boho attire!

    Cee. ♥

  8. Ha, that's too funny. I tell my friends one of the few reasons I want to go back to Las Vegas is for the buffets… Honestly, the food in that damn city is SO good! You should try the Wicked Spoon in The Cosmopolitan for brunch, my fav!

  9. I love wearing florals in the winter, ah Texas. Only one week between me and my return. Although I am from Houston, which is maybe the only place with more greasy buffets than Las Vegas. <3

  10. After waking up to a parking lot and car covered in ice, the offer to spend my days wearing flower skirts in Texas sounds very tempting!

  11. because of your sunny posts all the time and HGTV showing how awesome Texas is- i have been on a campaign to convince my husband everything is better in texas! ..plus super cute outfit! i will think about maxi skirts and summer tomorrow when i am scraping ice off my car 🙂

  12. Everything is bigger and better in Texas! Lol. I have been following your blog for awhile but have never commented. You are adorable and I look forward to your fashion ideas everyday. I just recently realized that you live in my city, McKinney, so that's an added bonus. Thanks for such a fun and inspiring blog.

  13. I'm loving this look – sort of 90's, sort of spring (totally Kendi!) Umm, I would totally love to take you up on that offer. A sunny place to move to and a best friend who has great style and won't judge me when I'm at buffets? yes, please. 🙂
