I've had these jeans for a while but I believe this is their first appearance on the blog. Everyone I'd like you to welcome my banana legs. They are pleased to meet you as well.
I didn't realize that when I started my blog about three years ago that I would a) eventually run out of things to talk about and b) want to talk about the same thing again and it would get awkward. As I was looking at my pictures today I thought "wow I really like to dress like a third grader." I sat down to write my post and remembered that aw, yes I've written that post before. In an eerily similar outfit, too. So I'm at a crossroads -- do I take the lazy road and just link the post here and say "ditto" or do I take the high road come up with a whole new take on wearing bright, unmatched colors all of the time?
I'm actually a pretty big fan of the polka dots plus the banana legs. But what I really need to know is: how long did that hat actually stay on your head?
If you say longer than 5 minutes, I'm going to doubt your veracity as a blogger.
Oh, and sitting down to blog something and realizing that you're repeating yourself...yeah, totally done that, and I haven't been blogging nearly as long as you have nor do I have an exclusively style-related blog.
Oooooh, so a fan of the yellow and brown. Pinning that bad boy, or girl...
If you'd like to, or any other readers out there wanting to help as sister out, I'm having a poll on my blog today. Pick the 30th item! Sound familiar ::cough cough, Winter 2011 remix::
Katie -- yes I am! It's from Anthropologie. I linked it above but it looks like it is sold out online. However, I got it in store just a few weeks ago and they had plenty! You might want to check there. I'll try to find a similar one to post online. :)
I have no problem repeating a look because that is the result of me establishing my style. My problem is that I have two conflicting personas. One is a third grader and the other is a super sophisticated lady. My closet is bipolar because of this.
Maybe you could just build on the theme by doing a side-by-side of "today" Kendi and actual elementary school Kendi. I'm very curious to know if you actually dressed this well when you were little. I know I sure didn't.
Love the colors with this one! And cute stocking cap! Only in Texas do y'all wear stocking caps for fashion. Where I come from - that sucker would be pulled down much lower on your head to actually keep your ears warm! ;-)
Haha, sometimes I feel third graders know better than me what looks good! I actually think this colorful outfit it's really playful and cute! Jenny www.jensoutfitjournal.com
Nothing wrong with the grade school look! I wish I had dressed this well as a 4th grader. I still have nightmares of the short bowl cut hair I had. Besides I'm wearing my owl sweater from Old Navy today.
So, normally your look is pretty cute but this is just not a great outfit - you *do* look like you're trying to be a high schooler, not a good look, even for high schoolers.
those yellow pants are a great shade of yellow! i have a pair, but the yellow is just not quite right. you know what i mean. like instead of banana legs, they look like... husks of pale sweet corn? without the bumps. or the husk part. dammit. what am i talking about.
I teach fourth grade, and do have some fabulously dressed students. You could still take them with your banana legs though! Love the yellow and camel together!
haha your post was awesome!!! I tend to think that as well...then I get an urge to dress completely opposite as the day before...my fashion sense is bipolar :)
You're too cute! I've only had my blog for 6 months and sometimes I've have to check back to make sure I'm not repeating myself! xoxo Megan a ray of sun
1. Those are two of my favorite outfits of yours 2. My boyfriend often comments often how my style is similar to his 7 year old daughter's (and it's true. I'm just saying, have you been into a Justice lately?)
Hahaha! I like your style. Each look is always different, but similar. I like how you incorporate various colors into your looks. Like this look, I like the pairing of mustard and burgundy! :)

Mustard is a scary color for a blonde like myself. I figure I'd be safe with it on my lower half, but I still envision looking like a banana. You wear it well though! :)
Loving the banana legs, and cute pom pom hat. Seriously Kendi, how do you perfect the waterfall tuck in so well? Every time I try to do the same thing I look like a hot mess. Sigh.
Really love the mustard and tan...it's perfect for this time of year! And it's a whimsical colour mix esp with the polka dot pattern! <3 Cambriajupefashion.blogspot.comCheck out my GIVEAWAY!!!!!!
I absolutely love this outfit! It is versatile and would look great during any season, but it also elicits a sense of fun from the girl wearing the outfit.
I just commented on another blog mentioning how much I wanted a pair of mustard colored jeans... but I think this look is my favorite! Just wanted to let you know!! :)
And what a great ditto it was!
