{Blazer: Similar | Jeans: c/o Citizens | Shoes: c/o Sole Society | Sunnies: c/o Coach}

It took me a while to get into booties. (Get your mind out of the gutter, I mean as in shoes). I liked the way they look on everyone else but when I put them on I couldn’t make them work. And then I found these booties from Sole Society and I feel like my time has come. Which leads me to my next point: have you heard of the awesomeness that is Sole Society? It’s basically an exclusive website that you sign up to become a member of a really cool club that has new styles of shoes every day. That’s right a designer shoe club with shoes that start at $49.95 with free shipping both ways. And they have booties. My job here is done. Which is good because I’m heading to New Orleans this weekend, where no work is done ever.

  2. I love these booties (as in the shoes) – I hate booties on myself. I always feel like an elf, a witch, or some other costumed character. I guess I just haven't found the right pair yet. These look amaze on you.

Have fun in NO – have a beignet for me. 🙂

  3. I think the slit in the front is what makes these booties work. Booties always make me look stumpy, but that slit elongates your legs for sure. dayummm girl! 🙂

  4. The booties are cute, but they're not even my favorite part of this outfit. I just love the whole damn thing. The blue, white, and brown…flowiness + structure…long but dainty necklace. Just all around outfit goodness.

  5. I really love that blazer.  I need one with long sleeves so badly.  I also think the two tone effect on the booties is great.  Have fun in my hometown this weekend.  The weather is supposed to be gorgeous.

  6. These are adorable! It is difficult to find the right bootie…I finally found a Sam Edelman pair that's flattering. I wouldn't think to roll skinnies like that, but it looks really cute. Thanks for the idea!

  7. Super cute booties! I love booties for Fall, an easy way to wear boots while the weather is still warm without feeling like you want to get rid of your pants!

  8. Love those booties!  Also, this is the first time (like, ever) that I have everything required to recreate this outfit in my closet.  Exciting!

  9. Kendi, I absolutely love your sunglasses. And with every post I see them in, I want them more and more! Which ones are they? I can't figure it out from the Coach website.

  10. Those booties are fantastic!  Love me some cute booties!  Have fun in Nola!  It is one of my favorite places in the world!! Can't wait to check out sole society!

  11. Those booties look great on you! I feel the same way about them, I'm not sure if I can pull them off.  But maybe I'll give it a try now with your inspiration.

  12. Booties were hard for me to get into the first couple of seasons they were in but now I really love them!

  13. I love your looks. I pin a lot of your outfits for future inspiration. I'm just always so self conscious when it comes to skinny jeans. I have wide hips and bigger legs. I think I'll ease myself into it.

  14. I love booties but I didn't like them at first I thought that they were a bit strange. Now though I totally adore them And yours are super cute, love them.

  15. Your look are just amazing! I'm always surprised how you can put the blazers in almost any look!

  16. I am having the same trouble with booties! I never like how they look on me.  They look great on you!

  18. I'm loving this whole look! The blazer, cuffed jeans, and bag really look great. Not to mention those booties!

  19. Cute outfit. Love how simple it is. And those booties are FAB.

  20. I tried Sole Society last year, but they only carried Marco Santi footwear back then and I didn't think any of the shoes were particularly well made.  You mention designer shoes in your post so I was wondering if they now carry other designers?

  21. Those booties are great! I know what you're talking when it comes to the perfect boot fit. I also like that you folded up the pants.

  22. I love this look – it is perfect! I think the key to booties is making sure they dont come up higher than the ankle, because it cuts at the wrong part of your leg, making your legs look less lean – and who wants that? I'm going to check out Sole Society!

  23. Sole Society has some great styles, but what I found amazing about them is that their shoes are of a fantastic quality! So comfy and cute!! katejones.me

  24. I used to be SO scared of wearing colored denim as well! Seriously  I was so scared that I let my boyfriend talk me out of it. Needless to say, he's now an ex and I now wear colored denim three days of the schoolweek. I love it.

  25. I've been eyeing booties for awhile now, but haven't had the courage to try them. I wear outfits similar to the one in your post, and after seeing how cute you look in the booties, I may have to start searching for a pair of my own! Thanks 🙂

  26. Got these boots the other day Kendi! I know I'm a copycat…but 20 bucks off of 49.95!!! I couldn't resist:) Thanks for the post.

  27. omg…i have practically the exact same booties that i bought from the VS catalog on clearence about 5 years ago….they are a great neutral…..Great Look!

  28. Hi Kendi! Sooo I bought these same booties (in the light brown) right around the same time you bought them – I'd been eyeing them for awhile! – but for the life of me I can't get my feet to stay inside of them…they flop around inside the booties like dead fish, those darn boots are so wide. I've even tried inserts to no avail. I'm just curious if you experience this too or if it's just me (I do have narrow feet, but I've never had this much of a problem!) Would love your thoughts. LOVE the way you style these booties (and your whole blog in general…I'll be back in Dallas (my hometown) in a couple of weeks and am planning to make a trip to your shop. 🙂

  29. Yup, had to have these.  Just bought them…my first pair of booties.  I hope my time has come too!
