The most exciting things I’ve done so far this weekend:
bought a coffee with 1% steamed milk, no sugarate a bowl of dry Cap’N Crunch watched a movie that I’ve seen beforeslept in till 8:15 am
I know. You guys probably thought I was interesting. Oh well we did go to a shady place friday night to hear a friend play with this band. It was a bar that was in a boat that was on land. Yeah, you’re right that’s not that interesting either. That’s just weird.
I hope your weekend is as boring as mine is. Lest we forget the best holiday is right around the corner that we need to rest for. Best holiday? What about Christmas, you say? Christmas has obligations, Thanksgiving is non-commital. I don’t have to buy anyone anything, I just have to show up and eat. What is better than a national holiday that asks you, begs of you to eat? Exactly. 4th of July is second in my book, same principle but with fireworks and a grill.
Rest up dear friends. We’ve got a big week ahead.

  1. Giiirrrrrrrrrl. I don't know what it is, but you look extra special gorgeous in these shots. Like … Quad grande non-fat Americano misto gorgeous.

  2. I think this is my favorite look – love the easy weekend style.

I love thanksgiving too – except it's not as low obligation for me since I have to cook too.

I like the site update! Love grey & yellow combo. Very cool!

  3. you look so cozy and happy i love it. and a boat on land is weird, but in an awesome way. also, love that messenger bag below. may have just been added to my christmas wish list too 🙂 (and by may i mean i just copied and pasted the link. hehehe)

  4. totally agree on the holiday thing. 🙂
    thanksgiving is the best.
    you look beautiful as always.
    i love those boots..
    have a great sunday love.
    xoox

  5. Thanksgiving was always my fave holiday as a kid, but being in grad school means it's just a period of time when I have to do double the amount of work to try to catch up/get ahead before the end of the term. 🙁

You look fabulous, though. Perfect Sunday outfit. That sweater! Those boots!

  6. Love this comfy look. Your weekend sounds perfect actually. Love restful weekends.
We did something totally out of ordinary for people with very young kids and went out with a big group to clubbing! It was fun.

  7. wow, i agree with everyone above, you look totally gorgeous, even more so than usual 🙂 this outfit is perfectly cozy chic.

  8. This is the perfect weekend outfit! So cozy looking.

Thanksgiving is definitely one of my favorites too, all I have to do is drive to my parents house and then people feed me.

  9. My entire weekend has been spent writing an essay I have writers block about. I can honestly say I'd rather eat dry cereal and watch movies I've already seen…I envy your weekend…I also want your boots, they are such awesome boots.

  10. Gorgeous photos! We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in South Africa but I wish you and all your American blog readers a happy one indeed! x

  11. COMPLETELY agree with you on Thanksgiving. I say basically the same things when defending thanksgiving as my favorite holiday! I'm still trying to figure out the perfect outfit… stylish but allows ample room for stuffing.

  12. this out is puurrfect. i love the wrap cardi, the boots and most of all, your hair. just love love love love love love! (that aint creepy, right? ok good)

  13. I love your little blurb about marriage, small towns and babies. I've been married for over 2 years now and live in a small town (in New Mexico-howdy neighbor). Add church in the mix and you'll get baby questions every day.

I'm still not pregnant and we're moving to San Diego soon (so great on both fronts).

Love the blog, and the remixing. It's so easy to get frustrated with what you have and spend so much money on clothes that don't really matter in the end. I think we should be frugal and creative.

    Way to go.

  14. mmmkay wait not done… i forgat to ask, is this still part of the 30/30? cause it doesn't have the number on the bottom, so it's totally confusing me

  15. Ah, you look so fantastically comfortable. Those boots are divine! Glad you had a restfully boring weekend. Those are the best. 🙂

  16. You look gorgeous! These photos are proof that Kendi hair is even better than Kate Middleton hair. No lie. 🙂 I linked to you as my favorite 30 for 30 outfit of today. Hope you had a fantastic Sunday.

  17. Kristen — My earrings are from my mom but originally from Target about a year ago. They were two heavy for her so she passed them right down to me a day after she bought them. 🙂

They might have some similar ones still. I don't remember the brand, but they were the ones on the jewelry counter on a spinning display, not on the wall of jewelry. They were about $14, if I remember correctly.

Well isn't that is embarrassing that I know Target's layout so very well?

  18. love love love this outfit!!!! you look so pretty but really thats nothing new U always look FAB

I love your hair!!! the color is fab and it always looks good! Seriously have you ever even heard of a bad hair? lucky girl!

  19. This is such a sweet outfit…beautiful photos yet again! Love your thoughts on Thanksgiving…so true!

  20. I have a similar sweater in my 30 for 30 and I love how you styled it! I think I will go with something similar when I wear it. You look beautiful in these pictures!

  21. This looks awesome! I love the easiness of this sweater — it looks so comfortable and relaxed, but really sophisticated paired with these earrings and boots. Brava!

  22. What a perfectly chic yet casual outfit! I'm glad your weekend was so relaxing, as mine was the same, except I did manage to make some fall-themed cookies! can't go wrong with a rush of sugar to say farewell to a weekend, eh?

  24. Adorable. I've always loved Christmas but it fights Thanksgiving for best holiday. I love the not having to buy anyone anything part. (But now I host all major family holidays, so we have the stress of cooking the turkey)

  25. You make casual wear so… chic? I just love it! And it's snowing in the NW, this does not happen in November! I'm so screwed with the challenge!

  26. Lauren — please don't. That would hurt really bad.

Also, I'm a dork and I didn't link any of my shop links. But they are working now.
