(Shop: top, skirt, necklace)

Jeanna brought up a good point from yesterday's post via comment. She asked is co-worker approval actually a good thing? If I worked at Lucky Magazine (hi! hire me!), yes. If I work where I work now, meh. I mean look, as I've said plenty of times before I could literally get away with anything at work. Halloween costume, jeans, heck I could wear a Snuggie and people would look at me about the same as they did today. It's actually kind of a nice relief, to not worry about what other people are going to think. Plus I think the array of colored tights from last winter broke them down. Literally -- those yellow tights could bring co-workers to their knees.

I bought this shirt on Saturday with my beloved sister and mother in tow. I was standing in line with something completely different when I spotted this shirt from across the way. I dropped what I had, said "hold my place" bolted over, grabbed my size and bought it on the spot. They of course laughed at me saying they've never seen any thing like that before. I call it instinct shopping. My mother called it "frantic."

Kendi, you never fail to make me laugh. Thank you for that. And I totally do the instinct shopping, thing too!

Haha! I "impulse shop" from the checkout line pretty frequently too. You and I must work in pretty similar offices...I'm constantly surprised at the outfits that coworkers compliment me on! That said, your outfit yesterday was so cute (I still love that chambray top!). I've had my eye on this LOFT skirt for weeks, and I think this post of yours might be the final straw. I'm buying it. :)

i ONLY shop with my instincts..is there any other way? "want" over "need" seems to always take over when i'm in the vicinity of retail. ;)

Kendi, next time you are in Austin I want to show you that I am now wearing a BROWN belt with BLACK pants ala today's outfit. This signifies tremendous growth in my outfit-putting-togethering and I think you would be proud. :) Also we could have some margaritas.

no joke! I've a serious urge to go out and buy the whole outfit. But as much as "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" my pride is going to keep me from doing that. I have been eyeing that shirt and did swear I was going to buy a piece from the current Jess LC collection.

summed up! so adorable!

What a gorgeous outfit! I love the polka-dot top and it's perfectly pair with the navy skirt. The brown belt is the perfect contrast with the navy and what's even better is that it's built into the skirt! I waiting for that skirt to go on sale... :)

Nice work with your instinct shopping!

I love this outfit....so classy! I used to work in a manufacturing plant where people had to wear steel toe shoes. I worked in the office and dressed professionally, but do you think those people gave 2 hoots about what I wore? It is sometimes nice to be noticed by your coworkers for your dressing efforts, no? I least we can tell you how fabulous you look!

I can't tell if it's black or blue and the website doesn't say. Don't hate me okay... but OMG! I cannot imagine paying that for a shirt and/or skirt! I'm a complete cheapo though... Other than that, it's so cute! I always love your style. I wish I was tall like you (I am 4'11" girl...) to make outfits work.

Kendi Lea said...

Fifo and Jenni -- Of course I don't hate you! You always leave the nicest comments :)

The skirt is like a heathered black, if that makes sense. I think the way I edited the photos it brings out a blue tint to it. But it is black. My bad, hehe.

Truth be told, I did not buy this skirt full price. I never pay for anything at Loft full-price, they have wayyyy too many sales for that. My mom had a 30% off coupon that she gave me, so voila! I think it ended up being about $50 which I'm cool with since I know it's high quality and I'll wear the heck out of it. Same with the Gap top, I have a Gap card that gives me RIDICULOUS coupons every month, so this shirt is listed for $54 but I had $30 off so it was $24. If you follow sales like a crazy person (me!!) or sign up for incentives you can get things a lot cheaper! And hey -- there is nothing wrong with being a cheapo :)

Adorable navy outfit. Sometimes when I wear something that is a little more fashionable (say...heels with socks) I'm always a little paranoid at work about what co-workers are saying, but then I realize I don't care if I'm happy with it!

Is the belt a part of the skirt? Either way I love it! And the blouse.. Haven't been to Gap in quite a while but stopped there when my mom was in town and I was very pleasantly surprised to see what a good selection of cute blouses they have! Good choice on the one you got. You look lovely, as always!

haha, when people give me weird comments about my wardrobe (coworkers) i just look down on them and say "You only think that because you know nothing...about fashion."
Just kidding, I keep that in my head.

Ahahaha, the much-maligned yellow tights. I have a pair in the same colour and my mom loathes them. Pffft. What do they know?

Also I totally love this. Super-sweet yet professional. I'm always down for some polka dots.

Setting up an analog computer needed scale elements to be chosen, along with original conditions—that is, starting values. Another vital was creating the needed network of interconnections between computing elements. Sometimes it was needed to re-think the structure of the issue so that the personal computer would function satisfactorily. No variables might be allowed to exceed the computer's limits, and differentiation was to be avoided, usually by rearranging the "network" of interconnects, utilizing integrators in a various sense.
Running an electronic analog pc, assuming a satisfactory setup, started with the computer held with some variables fixed at their original values. Moving a switch released the holds and permitted the issue to run. In some instances, the personal computer could, after a certain operating time interval, repeatedly return to the initial-conditions state to reset the difficulty, and run it again.
