That’s eleven fingers. Count them. I’ve been waiting for this outfit to unveil my hidden secret — my extra finger.

I’m kidding. I don’t have eleven finger, you guys. I have twelve.
Today was a bizarre/bad day which I refuse to hash out here. We’ve got more important things to talk about right? Like the BP scandal — you know Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston getting back together. Can you believe that?
Do you want to know something that isn’t bizarre or bad? My lipstick. I’ve been wearing it non-stop since the nice people at Talbots sent it my way. They must be psychic because just the other day I was whining about wanting red lipstick but never knowing the right shade. Who says that whining doesn’t work?
“Wine-ing” on the other hand does not work. This is where you drink enough wine to stain your lips. Why does it not work? By the time you get just the right shade, you fall asleep.

  1. Love the small add of the stripes on the belt with the floral print. Honestly, green is your color. It looks amazing on you.

  2. Haha your 11 fingers are so funny (also a little creepy I might say)!

This outfit is very cute, as always. Love the green on you!

  3. Wait! So do you really have extra fingers? I'm pretty naïve and will believe anything. You look stunning today and these are some of my favorite photos. Love the location!

  4. These photos are amazing! And you look beautiful, of course, teal is such a lovely colour on you!

    PS. You're hilarious.

  5. I thought the secret was going to have to do with some sort of play on The Secret Garden because of the location of these shots, but your secret is much more clever! Great outfit, btw. I didn't stumble upon your remixing challenge until it had already begun and I was too apprehensive to just jump right in and try it out, but now after watching you I'm really wishing I did it. How often do you do the 30 for 30 challenge?

  6. I love this outfit – it's gorgeous, and these shots of you are so breathtaking! Just beautiful!

  7. I love the outfit! I also adore the whole outdoor-sy type photo shoot! I would have never thought to put the two colors together (red & Green) in that way,but after seeing this, I just might!

  8. That garden looking place is beautiful. Your extra finger reminds me of the six-fingered man on The Princess Bride. "My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die." 🙂

  9. It's really annoying the whole add thing you are doing Kendi… I get the whole sponsorship bs but seriously? It's really transparent and it's really too much, I'm no longer a follower, sorry.

  10. So funny that you should mention Wine-ing vs. whining because I just posted the cutest graphic about it on my blog (I found it somewhere else but had to share cuz it's adorable).

  11. Wine lipstick is also really pretty cuz your lips also match your teeth! But by that point you don't care about much at all… ahhh wine… is it happy hour yet? =)
Love the floral with the stripes!

I'm sorry to hear that. But just as you were able to explain yourself on why you will no longer be reading my blog, I feel the need to as well. Since you did not leave an email or a blog for me to respond to, I will on here.

Legally I am required to post "courtesy of" whenever anyone sends me something to wear or try. Legally, I have to do this. I don't want to change the way that I label my photos, therefore a link at the bottom of the post was the best solution I came up with. There is no other way to say to thank you to the company and no other way to say to my readers that this was free to me than to post a link.

As you said, I am accepting sponsors on the blog now. This means that I get many emails for sponsorships, give aways, item reviews (like the Talbots lipstick) from companies that are not pertinent to you as the reader or to me as the blogger. To those opportunities, although they would pay me, I turn down because they would not make sense to my blog. I try to be very careful in what I choose because my blog is very important to me and so are my readers. I feel like my readers are my real life friends and when I get an opportunity or something that I want to share, the only way I can is through a link.

I sad to see you go, but I feel that if just one link (that you don't have to click on) has sent you on your way, then it was much more than just an ad on my blog post that has made you leave. And just as you have the choice to not read my blog anymore, please understand that I have the choice to post a link and write what I feel like writing.

  13. I also love the close-up picture! I think you should use it as your head banner image in this blog. And oh I can't tell which one is cuter: you or your outfit!

  14. twelve fingers? now i can't wait for tomorrow!!

i love this outfit, kendi. the color combo…it is divine!

also, your legs look 10 miles long in the photo of you sitting down. gorgeous!

  15. So, so pretty. Your photos are always stunning, and you're doing an awesome job with this challenge – it makes me think that I might actually be able to do it someday!

  16. Hey Kendi.. just stopping by again to thank you for the time you took to reply to my anonymous comment above. At least you don't moderate comments, so I respect the fact that you don't delete the negative ones (some bloggers do).
Like I said I understand the sponsorship deal, if that's the direction of your blog, however from the reader's point of view please understand it is "slightly" annoying to be constantly bombarded with these adds. That's all.
You are beyond cute, funny and have an amazing sense of style, and so your blog of course is very successful, as it should be. I personally find the commercials to be extremely cheap, and for that reason I'm gone.
I'm sure your blog will grow even further, and I wish you lots of success with it. Thank you again for replying, I really appreciate it a lot.
    Take care, xoxo

  17. I think this is a wonderful summer look. I adore your 30 days challenges, always you come up with great stuff. I really respect your reply to the anon too, as a blogger it's a hard line to toe between sponsorships and readers and I think you came up with a great response to their harsh attitude. Love your blog, keep up the good work!
