So yes, I officially started this remix challenge last Thursday (April 1), but I’m just now getting around to showing what exactly I’m re-mixing. You’ve been waiting with bated breath, I know. Well you can finally breathe, here are the 30 items I’m remixing. (Again — I’m not counting belts or necklaces, as they are the salt and pepper of my wardrobe. And no matter how hard I try, belts can not replace the functionality of a shirt.)

30for30shoesMy husband did not take these pictures if you were wondering. Those fat skillz are mine all mine. Jealous? No? That’s fine. My poor little husband is currently piled under paperwork and stress while doing our taxes. I might just toss him a pillow tonight and let him sleep under the tent he’s made out of receipts.

  1. This reminds me of that segment they do in lucky magazine where they put together a month's worth of outfits with just a couple pieces. I'm really excited to see you take this on!

  2. Oooh so fun! I'm so happy you're sharing this with us. I will definitely get some good ideas I'm sure… In September I'm going to London for 4 months and I'm REALLY gonna have to plan my packing well because I can't bring much. I will become Queen of Remixing ha ha… 🙂

  3. awesome idea! I feel for your hubby – I'm in the same boat tonight! I keep taking blog breaks to keep from going loopy

  4. gosh, this is such a good base of clothes for doing a wardrobe remix! I'm sure you'll come up with some great stuff.

  5. Great photos, I'm so excited to gain inspiration. I'd love to whittle down my closet to nice basics! P.S. I can't help but notice you only have 1 pair of flats selected, I hope you don't have to do much walking 🙂

  6. Love the idea too! Can't wait to see what outfits you come up with- and I want to see this spreadsheet! I make notes about outfit ideas too.

  7. Kendi, your selection for this month is great. I can't wait to see everything you come up with. Thanks for being so wonderful. I just nominated you for a sunshine award! Come on over and pick it up.

  8. great idea! and thanks for sharing the pieces too. i'm excited to see what you come up with; a lot of times I feel like style bloggers have some kind of bottomless closet and that's not very inspiring in a realistic way, you know? so, good luck and have fun!

  9. You brave soul. No, I'm sure it will be fine. But 30 DAYS? Sweet lord!

My husband, a freelancer, is also very much procrastination station with regards to his taxes. Crazy man.

  10. I'm delurking and commenting to let you know that I LOVE this idea. As someone with a small closet (and a small budget!), reworking clothes is an essential skill. Still trying to develop that skill 😛 So I'll be following along and trying to learn to remix from your example.

  11. i LOVE this idea! i've been toying with doing a remix for a week, but THIRTY days?! girl, you are amazing.

can't wait to see all of the cuteness you come up with 🙂

  12. This is such a fantastic idea! I'm a new reader of your blog, but I'm already hooked. I'm always looking for ways to make the most of my existing wardrobe (mostly to save $$$!) and I think I might try this challenge to see how I go.

Thanks for the inspiration! And good luck!
